Notification of PTI’s core committee meeting

An important meeting of the core committee of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf took place today in which following points were discussed:

• A special review of the country's political situation and the situation after the president's tweet on the draft amendments to the Army Act and the Official Secrets Act.
• The government's hateful propaganda against the President is considered an attempt to bend the President and obscure the facts.
• After the President's alarming tweet, the nation is in deep anxiety and worry.
• Thorough investigation of the matter, determination of the facts and strict accountability of those who belittled the position of the head of the state is very important.
• Tehreek-e-Insaf Core Committee will never allow anyone to complicate the matter or protect the responsible through bullying and coercion.
• The Supreme Court should take up this extraordinary matter without delay in the wider interest of the Constitution and the state.
• Core Committee also showed deep concern on the chairlift accident at Battagram and the rescue operation.
• Core committee offered a special prayer to the Almighty for the complete safety and safe rescue of the children and their teacher trapped in the chairlift.
• Praying for the success of the soldiers of the Pakistan Army who are engaged in the rescue operation to protect the precious lives by risking their lives.
