PTI Press Release – Case of FIA raid and arrest of Senior Journalist and Bureau Chief of ABN News Islamabad, Khalid Jameel

• Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf strongly condemns FIA's desecration of senior journalist's residence and arresting him late night.
• Pakistan is in the grip of the law of the jungle and the state institutions are guilty of serious violations of the law.
• The honor, life, property and liberty of every citizen who dares to demand his fundamental constitutional rights from the state is at stake.
• Journalists who spread official narratives based on lies, accusations and insults in the country, and accept state charity are acceptable to the government.
• Instead of continuing the unconstitutional and undemocratic process of humiliating and silencing journalists, the caretaker government should respect freedom of expression and speech.
• Khalid Jameel should be released immediately and the harassment of journalists should be stopped by dismissing the baseless case against him - Tehreek-e-Insaf spokesperson.
