• Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf's spokesman has issued a strong reaction to the decision of the authorities to not present Chairman Imran Khan in court.
• Chairman Imran Khan has the fundamental legal right to pursue cases against him and be present during court proceedings. In fact, prior to his arrest, Imran Khan was ordered to appear in various courts in hundreds of false cases, despite serious security concerns and a previous assassination attempt.
• On March 14th, armed police carried out a violent raid on the home of Chairman Imran Khan, which lasted for nearly 24 hours, for which the stated purpose was to arrest him for presentation in court.
• It is clear that authorities want to keep Imran Khan away from the public eye, hidden away from the public, in view of his enormous public popularity.
• The Supreme Court must ensure that Imran Khan is able to appear in court to present his defense in the hundreds of false cases filed against him.
