PTI Core Committee Meeting – Press Release

• The core committee of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf strongly condemns the series of forced disappearances of political workers and leaders and forced changes in political affiliations in the country.
• Demand for the immediate recovery and release of all forcibly disappeared political activists including Farrukh Habib, Hassan Niazi, Haider Majeed, Awais Younis, Abdul Karim Khan and Sheikh Rashid.
• After Senator Aun Abbas Bappi, Usman Dar, Sadaqat Ali Abbasi, there is a strong possibility that the forcibly disappeared leaders/activists will be forced to change their political affiliations by force, declare their indifference from politics.
• Attempts to shape politics according to one's will through shameful use of state power are an attack on democracy and totally unacceptable.
• The Core committee expressed deep concern over the initiation of trials against civilians in military courts despite the order of the Supreme Court and the assurance of the Attorney General in the Supreme Court.
• The cases against the civilian population, especially the young citizens (juveniles) are a clear violation of the constitution, law and international agreements.
• Strongly condemned the fake cases against Chairman Imran Khan and very controversial court proceedings against Chairman Imran Khan. Chairman Imran Khan is a prisoner of conscience in all respects.
• The shameful process of punishing Chairman Imran Khan by one court after another through a very controversial process is a serious attack on justice and justice.
• Justice is being killed by sometimes slowing down and sometimes speeding up judicial proceedings in an unnatural manner.
• According to the constitution and law and the requirements of justice, justice is the basic right of Chairman Imran Khan and the duty of the judiciary.
• In the meeting of the core committee, the rapidly deteriorating economic situation of Pakistan, the economy trapped in the grip of international financial institutions and the effects of global isolation on the future of the country were also examined.
• Pakistan is practically in the grip of the IMF, while in the last one year under the burden of the worst inflation, another ten million (1 crore) Pakistanis have been pushed below the poverty line.
• The caretaker government's ability to handle the economy in the most complicated conditions and the unimaginable isolation at the global level are causing extraordinary threats to the country's future.
• Delay in conducting elections and insistence on running affairs by unelected group will cause more crises and extraordinary deterioration in the situation.
• In the meeting, the de facto suspension of the constitution in the country and the conduct of government business without any constitutional and legal regulations were also strongly condemned.
• Making lawlessness and personal and institutional desires the basis of the state's decision-making is tantamount to exposing the country and the nation to serious dangers.
• The Supreme Court should perform the basic duty of protecting the Constitution and make the entire state system bound by the Constitution while restoring the Constitution.
• The committee expressed its solidarity with the oppressed Palestinian people and paid tribute to the activists who came out peacefully across the country to condemn Israel's war crimes.
• Strongly condemns the arrests of activists who did not allow citizens to protest peacefully and came out to express solidarity with the people of Palestine.
• Also demanding the immediate release of the peaceful protestors arrested by the police and state machinery.
