16th October 2023 News Headlines

A summary of today's important and breaking news regarding PTI and the country that the mainstream media of Pakistan will never show you.

  1. Fearing that Imran Khan’s picture will be made public, Justice Aamer Farooq has taken away Imran Khan's right to an open trial. Today 72 days have passed since the illegal imprisonment of Chairman Tehreek-e-Insaf and former Prime Minister Imran Khan. Imran Khan has been kept in solitary confinement away from the public for 72 consecutive days. The trial of the cipher case was started in jail due to the fear of his picture being made public, against which Imran Khan’s lawyers applied in court. Justice Aamer Farooq declared security concerns as the reason for the jail trial, but Justice Aamer Farooq himself kept summoning the court even after Imran Khan was shot, why were security concerns not taken into consideration at that time?
  2. A hearing was held in the Islamabad High Court on the request to dismiss the cipher case. Imran Khan's lawyer Sardar Latif Khosa argued that "Bhutto was also brought to the court of Maulvi Mushtaq and stood in the cage, here Imran Khan is also put in the cage. The former prime minister has rights, he also has dignity. The statement of Azam Khan, who was missing for three weeks, to say that Chairman PTI took the cipher is ridiculous. Imran Khan has immunity under Article 248, the cipher was declassified in the Cabinet meeting and Section 5 of the Secret Act does not apply.
  3. Those who abuse the judiciary are free, while the fake case of threatening the judge against Imran Khan is still ongoing. Chairman Imran Khan's lawyer Naeem Haider Panjutha tweeted, "The legal team appeared from our side in the judge intimidation case, but the prosecutor is constantly absent. The prosecutor was not even present on the last date and the court was told that he would be present on the next date. Due to this, the arguments in the previous court were completed by us in the presence of Mr. Imran Khan, even there the arguments were not given by the prosecutor. Now there will be arguments again because the court has been transferred. It is being hung, although this matter went to the High Court and ended, and Khan Sahab apologized to Judge Zeba Chaudhry, but the case is still going on.
  4. The hearing on 6 interim bail applications of Chairman Imran Khan has been adjourned till October 24, lawyers have also requested to present Imran Khan in court. While Imran Khan's wife Bushra Bibi’s interim bail was extended till October 31 in the false FIR registered regarding the fake receipts.
  5. NAB continues to harass Imran Khan's wife. According to lawyer Naeem Haider Panjutha, "Interim bail has been granted in the NAB Toshakhana and Al-Qadir Trust case of Bushra Bibi. This is the third time we are applying for interim bail. When the bail is disposed off, NAB sends a notice before reaching home. When NAB is saying that arrest is not required, order that the court or us be informed before arresting so that we can approach the concerned court. But our application was not approved. As soon as the bail application was disposed off, a notice was sent to Bibi Sahiba. This is our justice system."
  6. Despite all conspiracies and violence, Imran Khan cannot be broken. Speaking on the daily talk show, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Additional General Secretary Peshawar Region Irfan Saleem said, Despite all conspiracies and violence, Imran Khan cannot be broken, no matter how cruel they are, people will vote for Tehreek-e-Insaf in transparent elections. Look at the recent situation of the Gilgit-Baltistan and Peshawar elections despite all the hardships on the party, we got victory with the people's vote. Imran Khan's arrest before condemning the May 9 incidents is condemnable."
  7. Murad Saeed's house was raided last night, his mother-in-law, wife and sisters-in-law were tortured, their chaders were pulled and they were humiliated on the streets of DHA Peshawar. While the SHO was suspended for refusing to file fake cases against Murad Saeed and other PTI workers The public welcomed the SHO by throwing flower petals.
  8. The Farrukh Habib kidnapping case became an example of worst judicial negligence. The Farrukh Habib kidnapping case was heard in Lahore High Court today. The police told the court that Farrukh Habib was not with them, after which the court disposed of the case without issuing any new order.
  9. The judge who gave a 72-hour ultimatum to the administration for the Tehreek-e-Insaf rally has gone on leave. The hearing on the case of permitting Tehreek-e-Insaf to hold a rally in Lahore High Court was postponed indefinitely due to the judge going on leave, while the same judge had earlier given a 72-hour ultimatum to the administration.
  10. Filing papers against women and imprisoning them for months has become normal in the country. A case has been registered against women teachers for holding a peaceful protest in Faisalabad. Now the daughters of the nation will be put in jail, while political women prisoners are also not granted bail for five months. Even today Sanam Javed and other prisoners were sent to jail on another 14-day judicial remand.
  11. Noon-League's Talal Chaudhry accepts that PMLN was the main beneficiary of the events of May 9th. Unwillingly, the truth came out of his mouth. Talking to Shahzad Iqbal on the private channel about the behaviour of PPP, he said that after May 9, no party can compete with the Non-League because the events of May 9 benefited the Noon-League the most. Imran Khan has been saying since the first day that the culprit of the events of May 9 is the one who is its biggest beneficiary. Now this reality has been exposed.
  12. Caretaker governments continue to live lavish life on public tax money. The official helicopter of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government started to be used for the transportation of the relatives of the governor, businessmen and workers. They took the grandsons on a visit to Swat, brought the workers and two children with them on their return. Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Ghulam Ali Bajaur also took the children of his relatives in a helicopter on his visit.
  13. Billions of rupees lost to PIA in one year of PDM. The audit report states that PIA lost more than 19 billion 37 crore rupees due to the cancellation of flights in one year. 18% of flights were cancelled due to a lack of planning on the part of PIA.
  14. What caused the sudden reduction in petrol prices? The reason for suddenly making petrol so cheap is not that the price has decreased in the world market - yes, it is pressure that there is a plan to punish Imran Khan unconstitutionally in any case and this sudden decrease is an attempt to bribe the nation in a way? Or is this an attempt to create a narrative for Nawaz Sharif?
