Violence Against the Peaceful Protestors of the Baloch Long March

• PTI strongly condemns the series of state coercion and violence against peaceful political activities.
• The country is under constant chaos due to unconstitutional and illegal tactics and the state order has been left in disarray.
• Attempts to subjugate the citizens and subject them to violence, violating the constitution and law are exacerbating the crises instead of solving it.
• The constitution vows to safeguard life, property, and dignity of every citizen as well as fundamental rights, including the right to peaceful protest, freedom of speech and expression, and the right to a fair trial.
• The disregard for the justice system by powerful state forces is reinforcing lawlessness in the country, leaving citizens feeling vulnerable.
• As the powerful consider themselves above the law, leaving the weak to face the strict enforcement of legal measures, the nuclear power of 240 million people is gradually descending into the quagmire of internal disturbances.
• The state should follow the constitution without discrimination to address citizen’s concerns instead of using batons, guns, and blatant violence to silence them. The state must derive solutions from the constitutional framework.
• State decision makers must give people their constitutional, legal and democratic right to choose their true representatives through clear and transparent elections instead of undermining the electoral process through closed-door conspiracies.
• Instead of suppressing peaceful protests and political activities taking place within the realm of law, through blatant use of force, the state should analyze its decisions and make the most serious efforts to solve the problems, especially the concerns of Baloch citizens. 
• Tehreek-e-Insaf believes that every Pakistani who has faith in the constitution should be treated according to the law and demands full respect of the law from the state.
