Appointment of AdHoc Judges by Qazi Faez Isa

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has declared the appointment of ad-hoc judges in the Supreme Court as non-transparent, unnecessary, and against justice.

PTI will oppose and resist, at all levels, against the attempts to turn the Supreme Court into a "one-man show."

After the historic majority decision regarding reserved seats, the Supreme Court is being swiftly pushed towards destruction.

Through the appointment of ad-hoc judges, the genuine structure of the Supreme Court is being destroyed artificially to ensure the numerical superiority of an individual.

Under the guise of ad-hoc judges, efforts are being made to reintroduce judges with clear biases and highly questionable character back into the Supreme Court.

Among these judges is a person who, as a caretaker, was involved in the violation of fundamental rights of citizens, fostering lawlessness, denying a level playing field during elections, and openly robbing the people's right to vote.

Before making the Supreme Court a haven for favored individuals through ad-hoc judges, the Chief Justice of Pakistan has trampled the established principle of seniority and attempted to turn the courts into a "de facto dictator's" chamber.

Principled retired judges loyal to the constitution are expected to refrain from becoming part of this despicable process of destroying the court.

The Chief Justice should take up the constitution to settle the pending cases and begin by immediately dismissing thousands of false cases established on purely political grounds against innocent citizens in the past two years.

The nation will not accept any attempt to conquer the judiciary through "Trojan horses," said the PTI spokesperson.
