Japanese Ambassador Takashi Kurai called on Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf Chairman Imran Khan to congratulate him on his party's victory in the general elections.
According to the details issued by party’s Central Media Department Japanese Ambassador Takashi Kurai called on Chairman PTI Imran Khan at Chairman’s Secretariat Banigala Islamabad today to felicitate him on his party's victory in the general elections. Senior leaders including Vice Chairman PTI Shah Mehmood Qureshi, Dr. Shahzad Waseem, former chief minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Pervaiz Khattak were also present in the meeting.
Ambassador Kurai also discussed matters of bilateral interest with the PTI chairman. Speaking at the occasion Japanese Ambassador said that Japan wants to enhance better ties with Pakistan and would like to cooperate with Islamabad in all areas including health, education, and provision of clean drinking water. He said that Japan has also built a maternity hospital in Mianwali near Namal University. “Japan would like to help PTI-led government to put 24 million out of school children back to schools”, the Ambassador said. He said that members of Japanese Parliament will also visit Pakistan in September.
Chairman PTI thanked the Japanese Ambassador for the warm wishes and felicitations. Speaking at the occasion Imran Khan pledged to strengthen and improve relations with Japan. Chairman PTI stated that PTI seeks to engage the private sectors of both the countries for joint venture investment in Pakistan. “PTI upholds a diverse diplomatic approach based on trade and cooperation between the two countries”, said Imran Khan.
