Voting is intended to begin on the 4 March and will be open until 6pm on the evening of the 6 March 2013.
However if results are completed earlier due to regions casting votes earlier we will announce accordingly.
A member of the election commission will be invited by the finance board to attend and monitor the system being used by finance team to ensure complete transparency.
All voting records and numbers will be kept in a hard file for any post election scrutiny requirements.
Process for voters and if they have any issues:
1. On day of elections every registered mobile will be sent SMS messages. They will be from a fixed number, which is 07860022835. This is a data only number and will not accept any incoming calls , if texts are received from any other number you must call the election Hotline (number below)
2. We will send 4 separate SMS one for each position that is being contested. The system knows what region you are in so it will display the relevant information.
3. Each position has a letter and each person has a 2 digit code. The full list is given below.
4. President has been assigned letter P
Vice president has been assigned V
General secretary has been assigned G
Information secretary has been assigned S
5. Your reply to the message should consist of just 3 characters the letter and 2 number. So for example Hamid Sana you would vote V37 or v37 it does not matter if you use capitals or not , you must only vote once for each position
6. If you vote twice for the same position then only your fist vote will get counted and the second will be automatically deleted. Any votes from unregistered numbers will not be accepted into the system.
7. To give members comfort that there votes are being received one reply will be sent to all voters. This is likely to come after the vote for vice presidents has been cast by you.
8. Due to limited space on SMS messages, names for nominees may be shortened. Please call the hotline if you want to clarify any details.
9. Due to large number of voters thousands of SMS will be sent at the end of the first day. The finance team will contact all those people that get a failure report from network and will send them a manual text from system. If this happens it may be a different number but you will be informed before hand. If you do not receive a SMS or any contact then please register a complaint at the hotline where you will be given a log number or email as per below.
