Tehreek-e-Insaaf has demanded to depute Rangers in and outside polling stations in local bodies elections of Cantonment areas. In a letter written to Provincial Election Commissioner, Core and Station Commander. PTI  has expressed its apprehension that this is the same area where Nawaz League has been alleged for rigging in the general elections and now PTI has again reservations of all the pre-polls steps which not transparent. On the directions of the PTI Lahore President Abdul Aleem Khan letter has been sent to the authorities to take immediate steps to depute the personnel well in time to ensure impartiality. 

President PAT Mr. Raheeq Abbassi and PTI Lahore President Abdul Aleem Khan have also held a meeting to review the Cantonment areas local bodies elections. Both leaders discussed in detail the get support against the Nawaz League candidates and it was decided that common strategy would be adopted in this regard.

Meanwhile, election campaign of PTI continued in cantt areas were public meetings were held in different wards where in Ward Lahore No. 1 of Lahore Cantt. Office holder of Nawaz League Mr. Nazeer Jutt announced to join PTI in the presence of District President Abdul Aleem Khan. Party candidate Mohammad Ali Khan thanked him for supporting and assured to work for each area after being elected. Addressing on the occasion, Abdul Aleem Khan that PTI vigilantly monitoring the situation and now one would be allowed to rig these elections like past.

PTI district office bearers along with women wing, Imran Tiger Force and party candidates continued their election campaign in different wards and took out a rally in favour of PTI candidates. MPA Mian Aslam Iqbal, Jamshaid Iqbal Cheema,  Mian Mohammad Iftikhar, Dr. Tahir Farooq Chishti, Syed Rashid Riaz, Furrukh Javed Moon, Sheikh Amer were present. While Sarah Ahemd and Mussrat Jamshaid remained busy in door to door canvassing in defence areas.
