PTI demands foolproof security for education institutions
PTI Punjab president Ejaz Chaudhary strongly condemned hand grenades attack on a school in Karachi. He said Punjab Government should also open its eyes and take precautionary measures in the Province after what happened in Karachi. He said it is terrible that the Punjab Teachers Union says that the security plan is not comprehensive. He said government plan caters only to Category A schools. This leaves out more than 50 per cent of the primary and middle schools in the Province.
Ejaz Chaudhary expressed deep concerns over the present security plan of the education institutions.
Secretary General Yasmin Rashid said that headmasters were being threatened with disciplinary action by the Punjab Government officials for their failure to comply with the security plan. She said it is the responsibility of the Government to provide security and how can teachers make these arrangements.
Information secretary Andleeb Abbas in her statement said so far PMLN Government has failed to implement National Action Plan, which was agreed in APC. She said Punjab Government didn???t take any action against banned outfits. She said the reason Punjab Government is not taking any action against banned outfits is that their ministers have affiliations with the heads of the banned outfits. She said PMLN has done seat adjustment with the banned outfits on in May 2013 elections. Andleeb Abbas demanded a comprehensive report on action taken by Punjab Government against banned outfits. She said that the government needs to give a weekly progress report on progress on APC steps.
