PTI Punjab President Ejaz Chaudhary said election tribunal???s decision on Hamid Khan???s petitions in NA-125 Lahore is self-explanatory. He said tribunal???s decision is a befitting response to those people who were saying that PTI is crying for nothing and want to derail the government.
He said all those cheap delaying tactics used by SaadRafique, creating hurdles in the way of election probe and the sudden activism of SaadRafique and ParvezRasheed just prior to historic Azadi March and daily nonsensical press conferences of PMLN Ministers turned out be useless in the end. He asked why is ParvezRasheed is silent now and why he is not coming out and defending his masters. He said SaadRafique has been punished for sabotaging the electoral process in NA-125 and it will serve as lifetime lesson for all those who make their way in parliament through rigging. He said no returning officer has the courage to tamper with votes unless he has protection from the political elite.
He said PTI struggle for fair and free electoral process would continue.
Secretary General Yasmin said PTI was the only party which takes a firm stand against blatant rigging in May 2013 elections. She said during 126 day long historic sit-in Imran Khan and PTI leadership kept holding their nerves and stuck to their goals with public support. Our struggle paid off in the form of judicial commission yesterday???s decision is the beginning of the end of the rigged parliament she added. She said electoral fraud in elections has become a norm in Pakistan and has led to the entry of corrupt and incompetent politicians in the parliament.
She said PTI has always emphasized on free and fair elections. NA-125 decision has strengthened the democracy decision was a victory for NA-125 voters she added.
Information Secretary Andleeb said Imran Khan was the man who brought neutral umpiring in cricket when all the cricketing nations were against him and now he is bringing free and fair polls and whole status quo is again against him. But PTI struggle under leadership of ImranKhan for transparent electoral process would continue she added.
She said the rigging has been established in the NA 125 and KhawajaSaadRafique stands disqualified and he cannot fool the nation with his twisted interpretation of the judgment he must go and prepare for by-election. She said PTI struggle would be remembered in the history of Pakistan for making PMLN's stop their bullying tactics in elections and for strengthening democracy.
