PTI Punjab President Ejaz Chaudhary said nation is shocked over Sharif Brothers obsession to showoff as Punjab Government fuelled Rs10 million from public money on the occasion of the inauguration of the first unit at the Quaid-i-Azam Solar Park in Bahawalpur. He said armies of federal and provincial ministers were present in Bahawalpur just to please their masters. He said nation has no idea how much could have been spent on the security and VIP protocol of Sharif Brothers and ministers.
He said PMLN has no concerns with the suffering of the poor nation. He said the way Sharif Brothers are running the affairs of government public is rightly calling them Badsha Salamat and these monarchs have no right to rule over Pakistan. He said Sharif Brothers should stop behaving like Arab princes in a poor nation that cannot afford their lavishing life style.
Secretary General Yasmin said to waste public money for self-glorification is a perennial problem of Sharif Family. Either it is massive electronic or print media campaigns or waste of public money on inauguration ceremonies she added. She said she wished Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif could have think once before spending Rs10 million on inauguration ceremony for the poor starved people of Cholistan desert who have eyes bloodshot red, deep hollows around them and their appetite has waned considerably. She said basic necessity of life is out of reach for the people living in this area but Shabaz Sharif is bent upon spending on roads and metros that too only for central Punjab.
Information Secretary Andleeb said Sharif Brothers has added just 100 MW in national grid in two years while the shortfall is ranging between 4,000 to 6000 MW. She said Sharif Brothers pomp and show in poverty stricken desert has cost Rs10 million to national exchequer. She said Shabaz Sharif instead of going after basic necessities of life such as health; education, water and electricity, he and his brother are busy in showy projects. She said the project cost more than the budget of the entire South Punjab but the locals will hardly get any benefit.
She questioned who is responsible for the morally and ethically unfair status of the South Punjab. Sharif Brothers have forgotten their promise to give Bahawalpur status of the province she added. She said Sharif Brothers need to revisit their strategy towards South Punjab or they will be routed out of it like they are from interior Sindh.
