Another Anti-poor Budget In The Making: PTI | Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf

PTI leader Ejaz Chaudhary said PML-N is once again coming up with an anti-poor budget. The major chunk of the budget has been allocated for mega projects while nothing has been pledged for public welfare projects he added. He said the Annual Plan Coordination Committee has approved Rs1,418 billion for national development programme for upcoming budget.

Sharif Brothers have fooled the nation as they said China would be investing on China-Pakistan Economic Corridor then why hefty $14 billion have been allocated for China-Pakistan Economic Corridor in the upcoming budget.

He said Sharif Brothers and their affluent ministers did not understand agony of poor masses and how difficult it is for the people to meet both ends he added. He said Sharif Brothers are trying to run the country on loans as nothing has been done to revive the industry and to boost the exports. He said so far the public funds are grossly misused in the name of development on projects, while actually they support businesses of Sharif Family.

PTI leader Yasmin Rashid said Sharif Brothers obsession for mega projects has already ruined the health sector. In the upcoming budget the National Health Services, Regulations and Coordination Ministry???s development budget has been drastically reduced to Rs6.2 billion from Rs27.1 billion she added. She said the so-called experienced team of PML-N cannot turn the around economy. During the past two years Ishaq Dar failed to meet his own set targets and nothing is going to change this year as well she added. She said if Sharif Brothers really cared about the future of Pakistan they would have made education and health their top priority. But unfortunately, they care more about their own political future she added. She said because unlike laptops, yellow cabs, metro trains, roads and flyovers raising the standard of education do not buy votes.

PTI leader Andleeb Abbas said how shameful it is that recent World Economic Forum report has ranked Pakistan on 113 out of 124 countries on Human Capital Index. It was due to the pathetic policies of Sharif Brothers that Pakistan loses another point on Human Capital Index last year as Pakistan was ranked 112 she added. She said Bangladesh with far less resources is doing better than Pakistan and is on 99thposition on the index. She said no wonder Sharif Brothers have little interest in education and health. Every body does according to his own vision and nation can now observe Sharif Brothers vision she added. She said the reason ruling elite does not want to invest on education is a literate Pakistan would be a big threat to current semi-literate ruling class and they do not want to take any risk.
