PTI leader Ejaz Chaudhary said a PML-N MPA Sheikh Alauddin has exposed corruption of his own party on the floor of provincial assembly. Alauddin said the cost of a mobile health unit was Rs15 million, yet the Punjab government was receiving bids as high Rs60 million per unit he added. He said Shahbaz Sharif who always boasts about transparency first satisfy his own MPA. He said during the budget debate Sheikh Alauddin was not the only MPA who criticize Punjab government policies but several other MPAs have shown their deep concern over the performance and governance of Shabaz Sharif. If the ruling party MPAs are not satisfied with the performance of its government then how can a common man expect any thing good from Khadam I Alla he added. He said PML-N MPAs have also shown their mistrust on recent Punjab budget.
PTI leader Yasmin Rashid said she hopes Khadam A Alla would wake up and come out of his virtual world after Sheikh Alauddin confession that seven million people in the Punjab are suffering from hepatitis. She said how shameful it is that despite growing number of hepatitis patients in the province Punjab government has failed to provide any treatment facilities in the public hospitals. It seems Khadam A Alla is indifferent to the plight of hepatitis patients despite knowing the fact that the chronic disease has been declared most prevalent in Pakistan she added. She said number of patients with hepatitis virus was increasing manifold and this upward trend was going unchecked in Punjab but Shahbaz Sharif has no funds for health sector and his only priority is to build mega projects and make money from commissions and kickbacks she added.
PTI Information Secretary Andleeb Abbas said there is severe crisis of governance in Punjab. The Chief Minister of the province spends most of his time in Islamabad and has been working as undeclared deputy Prime Minster she added. She said there is a complete lack of interest on the part of Shabaz Sharif in provincial assembly as he is seldom seen in the assembly and shows no interest in legislation.
She said the way ruling party MPAs have shown their mistrust on Shabaz Sharif governance style is a glimpse of increasingly dysfunctional government plagued by a culture of complacency in the province. Khadam A Alla duped poor people by his hollow slogans and false promises. He is Chief Minister from last seven years but still not been able to understand and solve basic problems of the public that they daily face she added. She said people have no safe drinking water but he is ready to burn 165 billion on Orange Line Metro Train in Lahore. With his misplaced priorities Shahbaz Sharif keeps ruining the lives of the poor people she added.
