PTI leader Ejaz Chaudhary said those who termed Kasur molestation scandal a mere property dispute should hang their heads with shame after Human Rights Commission of Pakistan (HRCP) startling revelations of molestation of children in Husain Khanwala village of Kasur district. I am ashamed to have learnt that such a lame explanation was so strongly presented by Rana Sanaullaha Punjab Law Minister to defend the criminals, does Rana Sanaullaha have any shame he questioned? This is just out of question that the local police could not have been unaware of the video clippings freely circulating in the area and rumors of abuse of innocent children he added. He said so-called good governance of Khadam E Alla has embarrassed the entire nation at the national and international level by this incident. The police failure to take action lends support to charges of police officials??? collusion with the culprits he added. He said the entire nation wants Khadam I Alla to follow through on his promise to deliver exemplary punishment to the culprits.

PTI Information Secretary Andleeb Abbas said HRCP report is very comprehensive but Khadam I Alla is not likely to pay any heed to it. She said HRCP report has exposed the dirty face of the local police as the report says the victim children were stealing money and jewelry from their families in order to pay extortion money to the accused who were blackmailing the children and threatening to make the videos public while the callous and ignorant police was unaware of this heinous crime for seven years. Unfortunately we Pakistanis continue to elect people who are morally corrupt and have no interest in the welfare of the public she added. She said how shameful it is that we are living in 21st century but we are relying on 155-year-old Pakistan Penal Code 1860 and do not bother to amend the punishments for child abuse. Criminals take full advantage of these 155-year-old laws, if this would have happened in some other country then these abuses would have been thoroughly investigated and culprits be brought to task and the flaws in the system would have been rectified she added. She said status quo and feudal mind set is devouring the nation.
