In a press conference PTI President Punjab Ejaz Ahmed Chaudry said that he is warning Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif if PTI is not allowed to exercise its democratic rights participate in the 11th May protest in Islamabad PTI will go to Jati Umra and start protesting over there. He said that it was shameful how Rana Sanaullah can come on TV and lie to the public that nothing was being to harass and stop transportation availability to PTI workers as for the last 24 hours transporters have been calling from all over Punjab and have been telling the PTI workers that they have been threatened that there license will be cancelled if they take PTI workers to Islamabad. He said that PTI has been protesting against rigged elections for one year that even on the day of May 11th 2013 in the evening at 6.00pm. He and General Secretary had gone to the press club and held a press conference speaking that they had seen massive rigging and reporting throughout the day. Since then PTI had knocked every door of election tribunal Supreme Court assembly and had not retrieved any response on the 4 seats verification they have demanded. He said that Chairman Imran khan has said that the governments who do not come from the vote of the people do not care for the welfare and that is why the 1 year performance of the PML-N government is evidence to this fact. He said that inflation, taxes and load shedding had completely destroyed the industry and the lives of the poor people while the government was busy telling lies through advertisements on TV about their performance. He said that on the 1th of may will be the day when the real facts will come out.
PTI Opposition Leader Punjab Assembly Mian Mehmood ur Rasheed said that the governments was operating like a mafia and was trying to prevent the rigging scam from exposure from the last one year and despite raising this issues many times in the assembly nothing has been done. He said that is why no matter what Ran Sana Ullah and Chief Minister Shahbaz Sahrif to prevent our workers from going to D-chowk nothing can stop the people from exposing the robbery that took place on 11th may 2013.
PTI General Secretary Punjab Dr. Yasmin Rashid said that what else evidence that we require that the government has rigged the elections and the fact that today the Chief Minister and his mafia team is desperate to harass and stop people from going to D-chowk. She said that if the government was not afraid of exposure why they would resort to these tactics. She promised that tomorrow people will see a huge sea of public demanding that their vote which was stolen should be recovered.
PTI Information Secretary Andleeb Abbas said that the government has spent millions of rupees of tax payer???s money on advertisement its performance on TV instead of spending on the welfare of the people. She demanded that an immediate audit should be placed on where the funding of this advertisement has come from. She said that if tomorrow the government tries to create hurdles the PTI workers will then make the government regret their undemocratic behavior.
