
Dr. Yasmin Raashid advisor to PTI Chairman said she does not know who is stopping Punjab government to take action against banned outfits in the province when in row during last two months three suicide attacks have claimed dozens of lives. On Wednesday seven people were killed and 13 injured after a suicide bomber targeted the campaign office of PML-N MNASardar Amjad Farooq Khan Khosa in Taunsa she added. She said two out of three attacks were made on PML-N legislators and unfortunately Punjab has lost its Home Minister Col retired Shuja Khanzada still Punjab government is not ready to take action against banned outfits. South Punjab is the major hub of banned outfits and to eliminate the terrorists from the country an operation clean up in Southern Punjab is need of the hour she added. She said it is high time the operation Zarb e Azb which is bearing fruits in FATA is also supported across the country. She said Punjab government should have the courage to call spade a spade and those who are still operating in the province by changing their names should also be taken to the task. Extremist terrorists are hunting innocent people in Punjab while the Punjab government is not ready to take action against those who are spreading sectarianism she added.
PTI Information Secretary Andleeb Abbas strongly condemned the blast and expressed deep sorrow and grief over the loss of lives in the blast. She said it seems from the lethargic behavior of Punjab government that it is not serious in implementing National Action Plan in the province. Enough has been said rhetorically about the National Action Plan and its time for the government to take practical steps to root out banned outfits she added. She said culture of intolerance and hatred for other religions and sects is a factor fueling militancy in the country. This culture can be changed to tolerance and respect of other religions by introducing Madrassa reforms she added. She said the attack in Taunsa took place ahead of holy month of Muharram. She urged the government to formulate strict security plan and beef up security arrangements for Muharram to avoid such incidents in Muharram. She demanded strict action against all banned organization and their sympathizers.
