PTI Demands Resignation of CM Punjab Over Children Deaths | Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf

Dr. Yasmin Raashid, health advisor to PTI Chairman said when in Lahore on Monday Khadam I Alla along with his cronies was celebrating the success of 162 billion loan agreement for world's most expensive metro train, 14 innocent children lost their lives in Children's Hospital due to non availability of ventilators. Three more children lost their battle of life against Diphtheria yesterday, taking the death toll to 32 in Punjab she added. She said Khadam I Alla with his missing sense of priorities has arranged 162 billion loan for metro train, but unfortunately he has no money for Diphtheria vaccine and life saving ventilators. Parents of the ill-fated children were struggling with the hand pumps to pump oxygen so that they could save their children, while callous hospital administration was a silent spectator during the entire sad episode she added. She said the situation is not different in Faisalabad???s Allied Hospital, where so far nine children of Diphtheria have died. It has been more than two months and hospitals are still without anti-diphtheria serum (ADS) she added. She said Punjab government is ignoring requests of the hospitals for the provision of the life saving drug. We don not know how many more innocent lives would become victims of Khdam I Alla lethargic behavior she added. She said if Khadam A Alla who has blood on his hands if he has any shame he should immediately resign over children death.

PTI Information Secretary Andleeb Abbas said for Khdam I Alla 32 child mortalities due to Diphtheria were not enough as due to sheer negligence 10 infants have expired due to for lack of ventilators in the Children???s Hospital. All that was needed was a ventilator to save these 14 innocent lives, but poor parents of the children were asked to believe that Lahore???s premier Children Hospital did not have even that she added. She said Lahore that houses more than 1.5 crore people and is said to be the Paris of Pakistan by Sharif Brothers, sadly has little ventilator support at its government hospitals. There are only 46 ventilators at Children Hospital, which caters to thousands of children daily she added. She said top honchos including self proclaimed Khadam I Alla are in denial about the shortage of ventilators and life saving Diphtheria vaccine. This is a perennial problem that all the government hospitals are facing but Sharif Brothers has no money to save the lives of the poor children she added. She said adhocism policy of Khadam I Alla has taken thousands of lives as he is running the largest provincial health ministry with an incompetent health advisor. The health advisor appointed by Khadam I Alla washes his hands away very cleverly after every such unfortunate incidence she added. She said Khadam I Alla needs to come out of his never ending obsession of mega projects and understand that the poor man cannot dream of even a day at any of the private hospitals, hence government hospitals are the only places to go for them. She urged Chief Justice of Pakistan to take suo moto notice of children deaths and deplorable sate of public hospitals in Punjab.
