
Dr. Yasmin Raashid, advisor to PTI Chairman paid rich tributes to Army Public School (APS) Peshawar martyrs on the first death anniversary of the Peshawar massacre, the deadliest terrorist attack where more than 148 children were shot dead by the terrorists. The innocent children who had embraced martyrdom are our national heroes and we not forget their heart-rending courage she added. She said martyred students conveyed a loud and clear message to the enemies of Pakistan that the country will not give up and continue to fight against the evil of terrorism. The martyrdom of innocent children united the entire nation to root out terrorism from the society once for all she added. She said APS incident would always give us strength, courage and a feeling of a moral win over biggest enemies of Islam and Pakistan. May Allah bless the parents of the martyrs with patience and a brave heart to endure the never-ending pain she prayed. She said the entire Pakistan stands with them to share their grief. She also paid homage to Tahira Qazi, APS principal who lost her life while protecting the children. She said she was a leader who led from the front and set an example for the others. Her courage helped save many lives that day she added.
PTI Information Secretary Andleeb Abbas while remembering the innocent martyrs said 16 December 2014 was a black day and a day of great pain and sorrow when small and beautiful roses of their parents were attacked by the heartless beasts. Every soul who died in APS attack has left unforgettable memories of courage she added. She said it is now up to us to carry forward the message of innocent children to all Pakistanis and we should not forget this sad day and the sacrifice of our children in the history of the Pakistan. A National Action Plan (NAP) was then developed in order to tackle the problem of terrorism she added. She said Army is putting their best to uproot terrorisms. But unfortunately the government has not been able to build the capacity of the civilian institutions she added. She said APS incidence has made it clear that how brutal our enemy is which have no moral values and she urged that we must eliminate them once and for all to maintain peace in the country. The best way to pay tribute to the APS children is to effectively implement the NAP in its true spirit so that such an incidence never occurs again she added. She prayed for the departed souls and said Pakistan produces people of extraordinary bravery's APS children were one of them. The courage of the children and their innocence will always motivate us to safeguard the future of our children against these terrible enemies.
