PTI leader Ejaz Chaudhary Said 2015-16 budget is typical budget that PML-N presents every year; the political elite are the only class helped by this budget while it is making a mockery of the poor. He said sadly PML-N budget totally ignores the poor segment of the society once again. Unfortunately budgets never give any relief to 60 percent Pakistanis who are living below the poverty line and toil daily in blood and sweat he added. Can the so-called representatives of the public even imagine the day-to-day problems that plague the ordinary Pakistanis he questioned? He said allocation of hefty funds for construction projects are not enough to create a large number of jobs opportunities. The budget is friendly for the capitalists,magnates and traders not for bottom of the pyramid, he added. The current budget even could not provide a guideline for documentation of black economyrather its emphasis is on traditional indirect taxes,which will severely hit the poor he added.
PTI leader Yasmin Rashid said additional burden has been put on the poor in the budget and asked when PML-N is going to introduce real tax reforms in this country and when are we going to tax the rich she questioned. She said Sharif Brothers are persecuting low-income groups and salaried people. Who is going to bring back billions of dollars sitting in the Swiss banks due to corruption, tax evasion and money laundering she further asked? She said PML-N has confessed failure of its economic policy in Economic Survey. Ishaq Dar is around for 30years but still has not been able to understand how does the economy work as he carries a long list of failure;recent ones are his failure to achieve his own set targets of economic growth she added. She said
despite all time low international oil prices industrial growth target was not achieved. She said how insensitive this government is that 40million people who are under nourished in this country while they have imposed tax on milk an essential nutrient.
It would be hard for the poor to survive the current budget she added.
PTI leader Andleeb Abbas said as expected the PMLN safeguarded the interests of its fraternity the capitalist class who always deceived and defied the Federal Board of Revenue in payment of taxes. 7.5 percent increase in salaries is a nominal increase in the salaries of the government employees she added. She said but to keep the top government machinery happy Sharif Brothers have increased their salaries 100 percent. The salaries of the secretaries were increased100 percent only because they are partners in their crimes she added. She said Ishaq Dar who considers himself top finical expert is challenged to make budget of a household within 13,000 the minimum wage he set for labourers. Once again there is nothing for social sector i.e. health and education which needs efforts on emergency basis she added. Rather Sharif Brothers have diverted funds to extravagant schemes like Metro Buses, motorways, and laptops. She said current budget has been dicatated by IMF.
