White In The Flag: PTI’s Initiatives for Protection and Uplifting of Minorities
Religious minorities such as Christians, Hindus, Sikhs and many others have always been an integral part of Pakistan. Unfortunately, the deadly terrorism wave after 9/11, in Pakistan, has also adversely targeted our minorities. Soon after we assumed government in KPK, the tragedy of Peshawar Church attack during Sunday mass was inflicted upon us.
Along the lines of the welfare state of Medina, Imran Khan has always vowed to protect and lift up the religious minorities. He often says:
“Remember, Allah is Rab-ul-Aalameen, God of whole world, not just Rab-ul-Muslimeen, God of Muslims”
The quote implies a subtle message by Imran Khan that we must ensure our minorities feel safe and empowered equally as majority Muslim populace. PTI believes in a clear-cut “Peace within, peace with-out” policy as stated by Quaid e Azam in his speech of 11th August, 1947.
