PTI leader Ejaz Chaudhary said the report submitted by National Accountability Bureau (NAB) before the Supreme Court containing details of 150 mega corruption cases has exposed the corrupt faces of the ruling elite. It is a moment of shame for the entire nation that those who represent 180 million Pakistanis are soaked in corruption he added. He said from Prime Ministers to lower level government officials all have abused their official position yet neither arrests, nor recoveries but only probes and years long cases are pending with NAB. Why would we the Pakistanis delude ourselves with PPP and PML-N whose leaders have been described as one of the richest politicians in South Asia with the money they have acquired illegally while ruling Pakistan for last 35 years; an unfortunate country that they are still squeezing through their installed puppets in every public office he added.
PTI leader Yasmin Rashid said the shameless ruling elite including Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif, Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif, Finance Minister Ishaq Dar, former Prime Minister Raja Pervaiz Ashraf, former prime ministers Yousaf Raza Gilani and former president Asif Ali Zardari are the prominent ones who make their mark in corruption. Since NAB Chairman is a political appointee there is a potential conflict of interest and therefore he cannot be trusted to do the right thing in the given circumstances and punish the corrupt ones she added. She said if Supreme Court keeps following the cases then there is a chance that looted public money could be recovered from the corrupt ruling elite. Corruption is the deadliest disease the Pakistani nation is facing she added.
PTI Information Secretary Andleeb Abbas said the irony of this country is that a man who used to sell black tickets outside a cinema can become the president of the country. A money launder can become finance minster of the country. Corruption is in their blood; whether it is PML-N or the PPP these two parties were two sides of the same political oligarchy that has looted the country ruthlessly she added. She said Ishaq Dar who used to wander on motorbike is under NAB inquiry for three cases of 23 million pound, 3,488 million dollars and 1,250 million dollars.
She questioned how could overlords of these two parties with these filthy records be expected to bring the needed sanity in our country? She said PPP and PML-N supports should not celebrate that their leaders are making a lot of money. She urged the people to stop deceiving themselves and see the real faces of the corrupt regime.
