Chairman Imran Khan’s Message To The Nation From Jail.
Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf sent a message through his family on 31 October 2023 saying
Judiciary and lawyers have a sacred responsibility to perform the duty of protecting the Constitution, which is the foundation of our national development. Therefore, the legal community must start a movement to defend and protect the rights of the people of Pakistan, especially their fundamental right to vote, so that they can have the right to choose their leadership and determine their future with their own hands. It is a secondary matter of who the people choose for their leadership, but the main issue is the fundamental right to choose their representatives, which the Constitution provides them.
Pakistan is undoubtedly standing at a crossroads at this time. It is the critical juncture where we are witnessing our justice system collapsing very rapidly and disintegrating. So, if we want to save it from total collapse, we have to act and take our steps now.
Failing to champion will prevent us from upholding the supremacy of the Constitution. We would be unable to resist the rule of force, and eventually, only the most powerful and affluent individuals would thrive and prosper.
