Dr. Yasmin Raashid Education advisor to PTI Chairman said Institute of Social and Policy Sciences (I-SAPS) study has revealed gruesome details of learning outcome of public schools??? students in Lahore. The study finds that learning outcome of public schools??? students in Lahore is declining rapidly; the so-called education emergency declared by Khadam A Alla turned out be a lie she added. She said the key reason behind the declining learning outcome of public schools??? students is misplaced priorities Sharif Brothers. Education was never a priority of Sharif Brothers and things have reached to a shameful level as far as child education is concerned she added. She said Pakistan is the second largest country in the world in terms of out-of-school children and PML-N government has allocated ust Rs. 71.5 billion for education, while for a single Metro Train they are ready to burn 165 billion rupees. Unfortunately this sham democracy has miserably failed to secure the future of the country all they are doing just lip service. It is evident that only making speeches and hollow promises can never bring change but it needs real political will and practical intentions to improve the education standers she added.
PTI Information Secretary Andleeb Abbas what to talk about Institute of Social and Policy Sciences (I-SAPS) report when PML-N government has confessed in Pakistan Economic Survey 2014-15 that the literacy rate has gone down by 2 percent. I-SAPS report has stated that there were 127 schools operating in dangerous buildings, including 107 functioning in partially dangerous buildings but Khadam A Alla is totally indifferent to these figures as his only priority are flashy Metro Trains and carpeted roads she added. She said I-SAPS has also stated that some 290,000 children in 5-16 year age group in Lahore were out of school that constituted 33 percent of the school-age children, which is a moment of shame for self-proclaimed Khadam A Alla. She said since PML-N came into power, the allocation for health and education has declined. Sharif Brothers are diverting health and education allocation towards showy projects for political gains and for furthering their own businesses she added. She said every body does according to his own vision and nation can now observe Sharif Brothers vision. She said the reason ruling elite does not want to invest in education is that a literate Pakistan would be a big threat to our semi-literate ruling class and they do not want to take any risk of an educated and aware public rising against them, she added.
