PTI Punjab president Ejaz Chaudhary said Bill Gates, called Imran Khan on and appreciated his efforts in trying to eliminate polio virus from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on the other hand due to the sheer negligence of health minister $3.7 million worth of vaccines donated by UNICEF to protect children from deadly diseases has been wasted.
Ejaz Chaudhary said in every sector PMLN???s poor governance has been exposed. He questioned why Bill Gates did not called Prime Minister of the country because Bill Gates knows Imran Khan has integrity which current political elite does not have.
PTI Punjab Secretary General Yasmin Rashid said the ruined vaccines were pentavalent vaccines, which combine different vaccines in one injection and protect children against diphtheria, tetanus, whooping cough, hepatitis B and bacteria that causes meningitis and pneumonia.
She said vaccines must be stored at cold temperatures to remain effective but country???s health sector is chronically mismanaged due to corruption and nepotism. She said this means that millions of children will be deprived of this vaccine and suffer these diseases. She said the government is entirely responsible for causing misery to thousands of families.
Information Secretary Andleeb Abbas Immunization of children remains a big challenge for Pakistan, with polio a particular concern and PTI Government in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is dealing with the crippling disease in a successful way. She said after SehatKaInsaf for KP now PTI has successfully launched SehatKaIttehad for KP and FATA.
She said other provinces should also replicate SehatKaIttehad model.
Andleeb Abbas said instead of spending on Metros, highways and roads PMLN Government need to spend on health and education. She demanded that a JIT should be set to probe this huge health disaster.
