First and foremost I want to thank everyone who has organised this event; Aamir Kiyani, Faisal Javed because you have played a big role in putting all the presentations here together at this event! You have no idea what all you have achieved at this convention here today. This billion tree tsunami convention is important for the future of Pakistan! The discipline I am seeing here today makes me believe that PTI is becoming an institution. I want to congratulate Pervez khattak and the KP government who have achieved this with full commitment. At some point I was worried that you may not be able to achieve this because the provincial government is always so pressed for funds for so many things. There were demands for so many things but I want to commend you and I want to thank you for your commitment. I want to congratulate Ishtiaq for becoming a minister here today also! I once heard that the timber Mafia was cutting trees; so I called ishtiaq and he found out that the timber Mafia had killed a forest guard. They had the criminal nerve to kill a guard doing his job of reclaiming forest land; the next day I got a whatsapp message of Ishtiaq with an image where forest guards are walking with him and he went and he fought the timber mafia with them and went to arrest them. They cut 200 billion worth of trees in KP in 10 years. A small mafia that earns 200 billion is not one easy to fight against and that's why I commend Ishtiaq and all the forest guards who are here today who have been promoted; you deserve it! What you have done and what secretary Nazar Shah Sab has done; all the officers who worked.... you have started a revolution in Pakistan. You have done what no one thought would be possible; who thought this would be done in 4 years. People made fun of us saying we have no nurseries. But how did Malik Amin and team make it possible? By employing the community along to help. From women to the elderly; everyone was engaged in the project. Forest guard jobs were created and the whole initiative has started a mini green industry. They planted 1 billion trees in three years and then have gotten it audited too. Cm KP has announced that anyone who has even a little bit of doubt, we will provide them with transport to go and see this... point out any area you want To go and see. This is not just advertisement progress... this is actually ground progress. This has also proven that the people of Pakistan can do anything if they put their mind to it. We don't need companies from turkey or anywhere else to do projects here. As long as there is a vision and then no political involvement; you can achieve anything. We ourselves have destroyed our bureaucracy in Pakistan otherwise it is capable of achieving anything. This also proves that if we ever take up any big challenges, the people of this country are ready to take it on. I started with cricket; and I learnt in the county cricket system.... I came back, saw how much talent there is but no structure. Even today there is no structure but despite that we will won the World Cup. But we have so much talent that given the opportunity we can achieve anything. Then when I decided to set up skmch post my mothers cancer because I realised there are no cancer hospitals here; the rich take their people abroad, as I did with my mother but what would poor people do? At the time I was told you can't make a Cancer Hospital in Pakistan; it's too expensive. But my dream was even bigger; to make a Cancer Hospital that treats 70 percent of its patients for free.19 out of 20 of the first doctor I consulted said it can not happen. That you can't even make a Cancer Hospital let alone one that treats people for free. But I had already decided and with 1 Crore in the bank we set out to make a 70 Crore Hospital. Everyone said it was impossible; but today that same hospital treats thousands annually at a loss of 500 Crores. Just imagine; how is his institution running? The secret to success is that you dream big; When you dream big, a lot of people will make fun of you. Initially I was told that if you treat more than three percent people for free the hospital will shut down. But if I listened to those people I would have downsized my dream. Today that same hospital is treating over seventy percent people for free. When you are doing something for humanity, when you dream beyond yourself, when you never give up.... you will always achieve your dream. This is my message to the people of PTI, especially it's youth that you must never give up. Yes Pakistan has problems but you are its solution. Till our political leadership does not think of humans, and keeps thinking of just winning the next election... this nation will never progress. Nations progress when they think of the generations ahead. We have two issues we need to address here today; one is climate change and one is pollution. We as a nation need to step up to fight this otherwise there is destruction up ahead. No one here is bothered about what we are doing to destroy our future generations. Climate change and pollution are two of the biggest challenges facing Pakistans future right now. Pakistan is number 7 at the countries most affected by climate change in the world. Planting trees is the first frontline move against this. Because we have achieved it successfully in KP, we can now replicate it across Pakistan. Secondly the pollution that we are seeing in Lahore, it is above the normal rates of pollution. Our skmch lung specialist has told us that children are the biggest victims of this; it can lead to stunted lung growth which he says will start showing in the next 4-5 years if we do not start countering it. So we must start planting trees and doing urban planning now. Cement and concrete withhold heat and pollution. First we must do urban plantation, second we must extend billion tree tsunami across Pakistan, and implement the plan of reserve forests that we have in KP. We must also encourage eco tourism which we are bringing to KP; if people benefit from tourism they won't feel the need to cut trees. We have also decided to make free plantation and education about preserving trees and pollution control in the KP syllabus. Our religion puts such an emphasis on this. We are stopping the use of polythene bags in the province and educating people how to recycle and get rid of waste properly. This is our only solution to fight climate change and pollution. Our aim is to increase this to two billion trees in the next 5 years. In the summers I traveled to new areas; I discovered 4 new places and I have decided that every year we will develop 4 hill stations for public consumption. None of these areas were developed before and now the KP government is facing so much influx of tourism in Galiyat after it was developed that we need to focus on new areas and we will do four of these annually from here on. In the end I want to say that there are two massive issues facing us of climate change and pollution and we have to take a decision to fight this together as a nation. With the experience we have gained we will take steps to help implement this in all provinces across the board. InshAllah it will be the PTI government doing this anyways as we will come into power in all provinces in the next election; that is our dream and aim. I want to thank Malik Amin, Ishtiaq, Nazar Shah, the forest guards and all of KP government for this monumental achievement here today.
