ISF students, PTI workers, seniors from the Hazara community and members of the Pakistani community gathered outside the Pakistan High Commission London on Sunday 25th February to peacefully protest against the Hazara/Shia killings in Pakistan and government failure to address this problem.

The crowd was addressed by Hassan Raza from the British Hazara Council and Hassan Ikhlaki a senior activist from the Hazara Community. Both expressed sorrow at the killings of their community whilst appreciating support from the local Pakistani community and ISF/PTI, and urged everyone to stand united and work together for the cause.

The peaceful protest, initiated by ISF and Hassan Niazi, Hassan Khan, Hassan Hanif, Ahmed Mehboob and Ali Chaudhry, lasted for two hours during which the crowd chanted slogans led by Rana Sher Ali expressing their solidarity with the Hazara victims and condemnation of government efforts.

Abid Awan from Insaf Radio broadcasted the protest live and was also in the organising team alongside Dr Sabreena Razaq , Naeem Ulfat and Waleed Mian. The team would like to thank Syed Agha Jaffar who livestreamed the event and also addressed at the protest.

Many supporters of the cause shared their words with the crowd, which were very well received by all present. ISF and the organisers from PTI would like to thank everyone who took part and especially those who travelled from outside London. Everyone participated fully despite the incredibly cold weather, although this was nothing compared to the days spent sat in the freezing cold by families with corpses of their loved ones in Quetta, as ISF reminded us in their address to the crowd.
