PML-N Good Governance Mantra Exposed: PTI | Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf

Dr. Yasmin Raashid advisor to PTI Chairman said PML-N government is advised that instead of criticizing the Army after Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) statement that pointed at the government's incompetence and poor governance, government should pay some heed to improving the governance in the country. No doubt all the institutions should work within their constitutional limits but bad governance is a serious issue she added. She said it is the third tenure of PML-N in the center and sixth in the Punjab but still PML-N does not seem to be interested to improve the governance. The bad governance has done enough of damage to the roots of the country; this is the reason the common man does not trust civilian institutions she added. She said Sharif Brothers are more interested in being left alone to carry on with their personal enrichment and grandeur and in return they expect that no one should hold them accountable. If PML-N government does not change its attitude the government will fail under its own weight, wrong policies, bad governance and incompetence she added. She said Prime Minster Nawaz Sharif hardly attends the parliament, as for him parliament is just a rubber stamp. If the Army is asking government to extend its cooperation in implementation of National Action Plan (NAP) to uproot the militancy then all the institutions must act together in fight against militancy she added.

PTI Information Secretary Andleeb Abbas said She said Pakistan has lost more than 100,000 lives in war against terror and NAP was started with a complete consensus of military and political leadership. Army is doing its job and fighting a war against terrorism and thus the Army expects the same cooperation from the civilian leadership she added. She said the poor nation has been caught between two threats, the fear of military takeover and incompetent and corrupt ruling elite. Unfortunately the civilian government's performance is miserable and has been so all along under this sham democracy she added. She said no one supports military takeover; but if Prime Minster, Foreign Ministry and Interior Ministry fail to perform their duties PTI who has been raising this question on governance for 3 years will say that that it is not army but the public who demands governance. If the civilian government has not come unto expectations of the public and keeps defending their bad governance then the public including every institution has the right to question them she added. She questioned what PML-N government has done to improve the governance? Has the police and NAB been made depoliticized? The window-dressing policy would not work, as now people want real change in their lives she added. She said how long would the ruling elite keep protecting the very corruption they are tasked to eradicate. Criminals and money launderers are roaming around free, are allowed out of the country whenever they want, and no one has will to tackle them she added.
