Lahore, ( ) As many as 21 independent Union Councils??? chairmen, vice-chairmen and Councillors have announced joining the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf during a meeting with Punjab organiser Chaudhry Mohammad Sarwar.
In a meeting at PTI Chairman???s Secretariat on Friday Chaudhry Sarwar met newly elected chairmen, vice-chairmen and councillors in local government elections from Kasur. Elected chairmen Rana Muhammad Shahzad, Chaudhry Muhammad Munir Zaildar, Haji Riaz Ahmad, Malik Arshad Azeem Khan, Malik Amjad Khan, Abid Jamal Dogar, Mian Muhammad Abbas, Khushi Muhammad, Babar Mahmood and their vice-chairmen announced joining the PTI. PTI Kasur district organiser Nadeem Haroon and Sheikh Qaiser Ayub were also present on the occasion.
Addressing the local government representatives and talking to media on Friday, Chaudhry Sarwar said the PTI heartily welcomes the local government representatives??? joining of the PTI that would further strengthen the party.
Chaudhry Sarwar said the PML-N was ruling in Punjab for the past three decades but still all public institutions including health and education sectors as well as police and other institutions had failed to come up to the expectations of the people. While, he said, the rulers were trying to prove their ???governance??? through advertisements worth billions of rupees. He said the incumbent rulers had made the country???crisis-riddled???.
Chaudhry Sarwar said the corrupt politicians needed to be put behind the bars, if anybody wanted to end corruption and injustices form the society. He said the PTI after coming into power would recover the looted national wealth from the corrupt rulers and politicians and deposit in the national exchequer. He said the corrupt rulers and politicians would be given exemplary punishment so that nobody else would dare to loot the national wealth.
The PTI Punjab organiser said that the rulers,who used to hold protest camps at Minar-i-Pakistan against the load-shedding, had now become silent spectators in the wake of worst-ever power and gas load-shedding. He said the incumbent rulers had now been exposed in front of masses. He said only PTI could solve country???s long-standing problems and added that it would form its government after the 2018 general elections.
