
Dr. Yasmin Raashid advisor to PTI Chairman expressed deep sorrow and grief over the loss of precious human lives due to suspected suicide bomb attack in Vehari Chowk, Multan that claimed eleven lives and injured 80 people. She extended her condolence to the aggrieved families and prayed for the speedy recovery of the injured. Such backlash was expected in South Punjab after police shot dead Malik Ishaq,the leader of banned Sunni militant group Lashkar-e-Jhangvi in July 2015 she added. She said unfortunately Punjab government did not take any precautionary measure to counter such attacks. After the brutal killing of colonel (retired) Shuja Khanzada, Punjab???s home minister it was imperative to launch operation cleanup against banned outfits in Punjab she added. She said she is at a loss to understand why the government is reluctant to take action against the banned outfits in Punjab. Until and unless government does not counter sectarianism we cannot eliminate terrorism she added. She demanded strict action against all banned organization and their sympathizers.
PTI Information Secretary Andleeb Abbas strongly condemned the attack and expressed her condolences and solidarity with the aggrieved families of the deceased. She said the hideouts of the sectarian outfits are located in South Punjab, and the time has come that the Punjab government, which has a soft corner for such elements, takes on the militants. Punjab government is not serious to implement National Action Plan in the province she added. She said enough has been said rhetorically about the National Action Plan implementation in Punjab and its time for the government to take practical steps to root out the sectarian groups from the province particularly from Southern Punjab. Punjab law minister Rana Sanaullah who has been photographed with extremists and is involved in Model town killings needs to explain his nexuses with the extremists she added. She said the valiant armed forces are bravely fighting a war against the militants in FATA and Karachi thus the time has come to further gear efforts to root out militants from the entire Pakistan once and for all.
