Dr. Yasmin Raashid, advisor to PTI Chairman said Punjab police is living up to its reputation of protecting the gangsters who belong to the ruling party. Adnan Sanaullah, PML-N Punjab Youth Wing Secretary, main suspect of gang rape incidence in Lahore where a 14-year-old girl was abducted and gang raped on Friday had turned himself in to police on Sunday night after police failed to arrest him she added. She said how shameful it is that after the assurance of an investigation by a senior PML-N leader, Adnan Sanaullah turned himself in to police custody. Everyone knows what fair investigation means in the books of Punjab police she added. She said for three days after raping the innocent girl Adnan Sanaullah was roaming freely. The callous Punjab police did not dare to arrest the culprit, as the police knew he was backed by the big guns sitting in the government she added. She said nothing would happen in this after fair trial assurance from PML-N senior leadership have been given and after few days Adnan Sanaullah would come out of jail waving victory sign. Police would make a false report and all the blame will fall on the poor girl and the police investigators will pay a key role in achieving this outcome she added. She said this is the reason criminals like Adnan Sanaullah rarely change. Soon after coming out he will be looking out for new victims because he knows the loophole in the system would protect him every time she added.
PTI Information Secretary Andleeb Abbas said the reason police failed to arrest Adnan Sanaullah for three days was the entire police force was busy to give security to in-laws of Prime Minster Nawaz Sharif granddaughter and Raiwind palace on the eve of PM???s granddaughter wedding. Adnan Sanaullah was photographed with PML-N top leadership but when media asked from Rana Sanaullaha, Punjab Law Minster and Rana Mashood all of them denied to recognize him she added. She said police is there to protect the VIP only. The poor girl was on her way along with her brother when Adnan Sanaullah and his gang bundled her into their vehicle and whisked her to the guesthouse she added. She said by knowing PML-N past record they will use every trick in the book to save that rapist in their party, either by offering money to family or by threatening family to stay silent. In Kasur child molestation scandal where the MPA of the ruling party was involved he was given clean chit by JIT she added. She said shameless ruling elite thinks they are the masters and the public is their slave. Hence they think they can mistreat the public in every way and know that they will get away with it she added. She said justice would not be served in this case under this corrupt system and another innocent girl would end up her life in misery. She urged Khadam I Alla to have some courage and instead of protecting his party Youth Wing Secretary send this case to the military court for trial.
