PTI President Punjab Ejaz Ahnmed Chaudhry said that country was going through the worst load shedding in the history where 18 hours of load shedding was experienced was right from Karachi to Khyber he said that the whole of Punjab was protesting against the load shedding as rural and urban load shedding has exceeded all limits. People suffering too much from load shedding it is shame and shock that the LESCO Chief has instructed that no load shedding should occur in Raiwind and two feeders will supply electricity over there not a minute of electricity is switched off. He said that this was worst than dictatorship as it reflected a mindset of the kind so their own benefits would cut the hands of their public. He said that the government must immediately be answerable to the public in this violation democratic rights which guarantee the provision of basic amnesties to the citizens. He said that the 11th may protest was exactly because people who had come though a short would not bother about the misery of the people as their vote is not matter to them.
PTI General Secretary Punjab Dr. Yasmin Rashid said that the long electricity outages are also causing massive shortages of water and huge contamination of water due to the sewerage pipe mixing with the water pipe that is why 75% of the water available is not safe for drinking. She said instead of making roads around model town and Raiwind these 34bn if spent on load shedding and these water supplies millions of lives could be saved. She demanded and immediately reduces the hours of load shedding and explains why there is no load shedding in their own palaces.
PTI Secretary Information Punjab Andleeb Abbas said that massive unemployment is taking place as APTMA is giving advertisement demanding from the government the restoration of the electricity otherwise the industry will close down. She said that all claims removing load shedding and improving the economy were fall as due to load shedding small business as well as large business were laying of laborers and workers making it impossible for the poor man to sustain its living. She said that the 11th May protest was against rigged votes, load shedding lies and tax theft which the present government had broken all records. She said that PTI will continue to raise their voice against this criminal negligence of governance and the government???s anti poor policy.
