When no one supported me, do you know who came out to support me? The children and youth of Miabwali. This is all the way back in 2002; wherever I went in cars they chanted for me. For the first time in history the children of this country taught the adults a lesson. I went from UC to UC. The elders used to say he's crazy, he's never going to win. But I stand here today and I am grateful that today PTI is the biggest political party of Pakistan and the kids and youth of Pakistan who gave me confidence have a big role to play in it. If I had not won the 2002 election here, I don't even know if I would be standing here today. Whenever I asked you for help, you have never disappointed me. When I used to roam Mianwali, in the winters the weather was amazing. We used to sit outdoors and enjoy It. But the heat of mianwali summers; the July heat here, no one else could have campaigned in that heat as I did back then. What was the first issue that used to come to the forefront? The first was of police. From Namal to across the town, I used to collect a book of requests and I still remember what problems you had. The biggest issue used to be with your local police station where the weak was always suppressed. Poor people used to be victimised by the local police station. And I back then made a decision that whenever I come into power and I have the authority, the first thing I would fix is the police. KP is close to you; just ask the people of KP if they have seen an improvement in the police there. Next to you is Laki Marwat and other KP districts; ask them if they have faith on the police.
In one year crimes have decreased by 70 percent in KP. Till today not one KP citizen has sent a complaint that injustice is being done in police stations. Whenever we get the chance, I will fix this same punjab police and show you. What we did in KP, it has decreased terrorism and crime by 70 percent. The past year has been the most peaceful in the past decade; the province that had been known for terrorist attacks and 700 police officers had been killed by terrorism. So how will we fix the police? Not how Shahbaz Sharif has done. No we will depoliticise police by selection on merit and through NTS system, giving all powers to the IG. Shahbaz sharif meanwhile though that KP police has become better so let me bring some change too; so he changed the police uniforms. Shahbaz Sharif; for how long will you do drama with this nation? For how many years will you treat us like animals? Instead of depoliticising them you changed their uniforms; in fact they previous uniforms were much better. One brother goes innocent and says mujhai kyoon nikala meanwhile the other pledges he will drag Zardari through the streets, and that change my name if load shedding doesn't decrease in three months then change my name. But instead of fixing the police they spent millions on changing uniforms. Where does all their development happen? In advertisements. Every day you open the paper, some brothers name is in the news. One brother is already disqualified, the other one is next. Meanwhile in schools, whenever I go parents used to say that our kids' schools have no teachers. Especially in our girls schools. Wherever I went I would feel sad that what will be the future of our children of Mianwali if they do not have schools. This is why I pledged that whenever I get power I will fix government schools. Today in KP, when we took power 50 percent of schools had teachers. Today, 100 percent schools have teachers. And these admissions are not done on sifarish. No minister can make anyone into a teacher on a sifarish. I am proud that 1.5 lakh children have gone back to government schools from private schools. Nothing like this had happened in the past 40 years. Then KP hospitals today are going to become an example for the whole country; people have faith in government hospitals in KP. 27 doctors have come back to Pakistan to work at Lady Reading hospital in Peshawar. 60 percent of families in KP get health insurance up to 550,000 and they can get this treatment at any private hospital even. Now, if a poor family is hit by an illness they can get treated in dignity. 4th; your future is at stake with the pollution that has hit Pakistan. This is especially important for our youth; temperatures are rising and glaciers are melting. And why? Because we have destroyed our forests with heartlessness.
As a child I remember seeing beautiful forests, but today half of those like changa manga are all finished. Those cutting down trees in this country are destroying the future of our children. This is why I am proud that in KP we have planted 1 billion and 18 Crore trees across the province. We have planted 40 jungles the size of changa manga. And this is because we have a vision to decrease the heat levels in the country by doing such plantations across the county. We took this start with KP and InshAllah when we come into government we will grow billions of trees across Pakistan for a better future for our children. Every year 300,000 children die in Pakistan because of environmental pollution. If you had not elected me in 2002 I wouldn't have been able to do all of this and this is why I am here to thank you today. And now; my dream for Pakistan. The way china lifted 70 Crore people out of poverty in 30 years. My dream is to lift 10 Crore people out of poverty in 10 years. We will make all our policies for poor people and poverty alleviation; the local MNA here gives 800 rupees in labour to labourers who are playing on their lives. We will make policies to help our labourers and to help our small farmers to subsidise their tube wells. They are getting crushed by inflation. We will make sure labourers get minimum wage rates and also benefits. All our policies will be focused on helping the common man. Helping youth with micro entrepreneurship; giving them opportunities. Whoever graduates from Namal, that student gets a job straight away. We will help our farmers because they give a boost to our economy. Right now all the policies are being made for the rich who make their money and take it out of the country. In the past 4 years, 8 billion dollars worth of properties have been bought by Pakistanis in Dubai.
This is not the small farmer, or the entrepreneur doing this. These are all the corrupt, or then those benefitting from the rich serving policies of our country. In the west, 90 percent of tax is collected from the rich and only 10 percent via increase in prices. Meanwhile in Pakistan it is the opposite; everything from your mobile phone to your petrol and diesel is taxes heavily. And the tax for both the rich and the poor is equal. This way the poor get poorer and the rich get richer. I will show you how to collect tax form the Rich segments of our societies; one I will fix the FBR. Have people like Zardari ever given tax? Listen carefully; through inflation 3500 billion in taxes is collected from you. Meanwhile incompetence of the FBR costs the country 3200 billion rupees; that loss is of all your tax money. I am one person who has collected massive charity from the whole country, I will show you how tax can be collected and spent on our classes that need it. Why do people go abroad to earn? Because they have enough leftover income left to safe. I have with my own eyes seen labourers become big businessmen in Europe because hard work is rewarded here. Meanwhile here the labourers and his child is only crushed.
Hence we will make policies to lift the poor. I will fix the FBR and the corruption done because of NAB which goes into 4,000 billion. The tax collection of the country is only 3500 billion. If we just fix NAB, catch the big thieves who launder money out of the country, we can be extremely prosperous as a nation. We have every natural resource and all kinds of geography; we have been blessed with everything but till we do not fix our institutions nothing will happen. When they are being presented to NAB they act like they have conquered a war zone. 300 billion has been taken out of the country by Nawaz Sharif; even now he roams in a 40 car government protocol. The Godfather who stole billions roams with protocol around while petty criminals are put in jails. His daughter who said the biggest lie on national media goes to the courts and acts like she is being victimised. Our religion says that societies are destroyed when there are two systems of justice; one for the poor and one for the rich. I promise I will bring all these big thieves to the accountability table. If we just have control over corruption and money laundering we will have money to spend on our people, on the education of our children, to make good hospitals, to make good universities and if we spend on our youth we will become the country that Was the dream of Iqbal and that was envisioned by my leader Jinnah. The people of Mianwali have never disappointed me and I again thank you from the bottom of my heart.
