Addressing a press conference in Lahore PTI Punjab President Ejaz Chaudhary, leader of the opposition in Punjab Assembly Mian Mahmood Ur Rasheed and Information Secretary Andleeb Abbas with other party leaders, said that PTI Punjab was preparing the street movement as per Chairman???s instructions and would make Lahore as the hub for putting pressure on government to form the judicial commission.
Ejaz Chaudhary said that PTI is also planning for the local bodies elections as they are the foundation of democracy, but it seems that the PPP and the PMLN want their own version of the democracy. It is only the Supreme Court whose intervention made them agree to hold the elections.
He said PMLN Government had lost support at grassroots level because of its poor performance in Punjab that is why it was reluctant to go for local bodies elections.
He said PTI always supported party basis election this time we will not allow PMLN to paly with the democratic rights of the people.
Assembly Mian Mahmood Ur Rasheed addressing on the occasion said local bodies are the entrance gates for the middle class into politics. He said empowerment at the grass roots, the only solution for the progress of the country. He said Sharif brothers have bulldozed all institutions now its time to empower public. He said any unjustified delimitation would not be tolerated by PTI.
