Please find below guidance on voting day along with some information that must be adhered to:
- Voting will be for the 24 hour period of 13 April 2014. Texts will automatically be sent from midnight Saturday.
- Voting will be done via SMS, all registered mobile numbers will get a text from the following UK number 07860 022874. This is the only valid number, all are advised to check before responding.
- All texts are sent by a 3rd party, the finance team will have no facility whatsoever to accept number changes after 5pm Friday 11 April, please can this be stressed to all contestants. No number changes possible on Election Day.
- There will be information on the SMS, the member will be asked to reply with a text that must begin with a 2 digit numeric code for example 22, each panel will be allocated a unique 2 digit code. If the text reply is valid then the system will send a confirmation text. If the response is not valid then the vote will be asked to text again. Very simple rule the response should just be 2 digits.
- On the day voters having difficulties can ring 01782 223823 or send a text to 07973 319485 and we will call back.
- If any voter has difficulty receiving a SMS they will be able to vote via voice. The Finance Team will call the registered number, vote will be recorded manually however this is a last resort and we will only call people after the system has failed 3 times, our 3rd party software company will be providing reports on delivery success of messages so we will be aware during the day of issues.
