PTI Warns Of Looming Electricity Crisis

PTI Punjab president EjazChaudhary said as the worst petrol crisis has hit the country badly he warned of the looming electricity crisis in the coming days as the furnace oil reserve in the country are also about to end.

He said the current crisis is well planned, organized, man created crisis some one from government circles has made billions out of it on account of public suffering.

He said the industry would be badly affected by the upcoming power crisis while no government functionary is ready to take any responsibility.

He said both Ishaq Dar and Shaid Khakan Abbasi must resign for putting the nation into chaos. They are not capable to manage their respective portfolios.

Secretary General Yasmin Rashid said at this time when petrol production is at its peak and price per barrel is around $40, there is no excuse to have shortage of petrol except to hoard it and create artificial shortage to gain maximum profit. She said Ministry of Petroleum, Ministry of Finance are the prime suspects here.

She said the petrol crisis arises because oil industry was trapped in circular debt which still has not been cleared despite government has paid 500 billion to their near & dears ones.

She said heads should roll but not of the OGRA officials instead the ministers should be asked and punished for their negligence.

Information secretary Andleeb Abbas said a two-member committee has been constituted to investigate the petrol crisis. The committee has been made subordinate to the minister for finance and minister for petroleum, both of them are responsible for the crisis this is nothing more than a joke with the poor masses. She said how could Government blame OGRA, as OGRA does not have member oil either the institutions are with out their heads or their heads are friends of Sharif family.

She said this is not the end of the crisis but it the beginning of another crisis. She asked what minister of water & power KhawajAsif& state minister AbidSher Ali are doing to deal with the upcoming electricity crisis.

She said Ishaq Dar has not been able to fix the circular debt issue despite deficit financing and heavy borrowing. She said these incompetent people with their actions are destroying the very foundations of this country.
