

PTI Punjab Secretary General Yasmin Rashid while talking to media at protest staged by visually blind people at Mall Road Lahore said Punjab Government promised 3 per cent quota for the disabled but even the 2 per cent quota has not been implemented so far. She said blind people are asking for their rights but Government???s response in this regard is shameful.
Information Secretary Andleeb Abbas talking to media said only thing that is blind is the Punjab Government; they do not see the injustice. She said the Chief Minister should have personally met those blind people who were protesting for their rights outside Punjab Assembly but he is busy with his horse-trading activities to secure the seats in Senate.
Andleeb Abbas said blind people need support and should not be mistreated by the Government. She demanded immediate implementation of the demands made by visually impaired people.
She said Punjab police has been totally politicized as poor blind were miss directed by police sending them to various others road so that they can not reach Punjab Assembly.
PTI Punjab president Ejaz Chaudhary in his statement said it is sad that Punjab Government has been failed to ensure provision of employment and regularization of visually impaired adhoc Government servants, as usual Punjab Government has deceived them.
He said despite Punjab Government???s promise to regularize visually impaired adhoc Government servants in December last year; nothing had been materialized since then. He said if their demands will not be fulfilled PTI will move to court for the rights of blind people.
Opposition leader in Punjab Assembly Mian Mahmoud Ur Rehasheed,MPA Dr. Nausheen Hamid and many others PTI activists were also present at protest staged by blind to express solidarity with them.
