Punjab Police???s Attack On Children Is Criminal: PTI
Information secretary Andleeb Abbas said instead of safeguarding the public, Punjab Police has become a danger for public property and life. She said the way police has manhandled blind people previously and now baton charging innocent school children who were protesting for their rights, clearly reflects the mindset of the Punjab Government.
She said it is shameless that Punjab government and its institute management is sinking lower and lower every day. Attacking innocent children is shocking and a crime.
She said a child was injured due to police baton-charge when CM just takes notice of and orders investigation by the very people who are promoting this culture. Then all of the sudden police recorded the statement of the father of the child that the child was injured due to stampede. The fear factor used by Punjab government has worked again.
She said how could the police officers that were involved in the baton-charge can hold independent inquiry of the incident.
She demanded that independent inquiry committee should be stet up to investigate the Gullu tactics of the Shabaz Sharif???s militant wing.
She said the real problem is that majority in the Punjab Police are political appointees of the Sharif family and the Punjab Police is on a downward spiral because of an unprofessional approach by self proclaimed Khadim-e-aala.
She said Shabaz Sharif has hundreds of elite police commandoes and a number of elite police vehicles at his disposal around theclock. She questioned either elite police force is counter-terrorism force or Shabaz Sharif 's personal protector?
Andleeb Abbas said Gulluism of Punjab Police need to be looked into. She said these are the armed men in police uniform who are doing GundaGardi for Shabaz Sharif. She said Punjab Police has become a symbol of inhumanity and brutality not because they are bad but because proclaimed Khadim-e-aalatreats them as his bonded slaves.
