Shabaz Sharif is Blind to the Problems of Blind: PTI | Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf

Dr. Yasmin Raashid, advisor to PTI Chairman said self-proclaimed Khadam-I-Alla is living up to his reputation of deceiving the people with his false promises. The heartless CM did not spare the visually impaired people as they were forced to stage a sit-in in Lahore to remind CM of his promises which he had forgotten she added. She said in June last year visually impaired people staged 4 days long sit-in outside Punjab Assembly seeking increase in their employment quota and turning temporary employees to permanent job-holders. They came back with the same demand on the roads as during the last six months Punjab government did not bother to implement the promises CM made with them, she added. She said unfortunately Shabaz Sharif is more interested in Metro Trains and highways and he does not care about the common people let alone the visually impaired. The apathy of Khadam-I-Alla towards visually impaired people clearly shows the mindset and attitude of Shabaz Sharif she added. She said the visually impaired people are demanding their rights but Khadam-I-Alla is fooling them time and again with false promises.

PTI Information Secretary Andleeb Abbas said how unfortunate it is that Punjab government continue to torture the poor blind people by promising increase in their job quota and issuing fake job letters. Last year Punjab government gave 100 job letters to the visually impaired people in an attempt to finish the sit-in but when the blind people physically visited DCO office for getting their jobs with their job letters they were denied of the job she added. Punjab government promised to give the 3 percent job quota in each district for blind persons. But the promises of Punjab government vanished in the thin air, as a result the blind people once again took to the streets for their rights she added. She said on Wednesday night the callous Punjab police officials who were wearing plain clothes packed the visually impaired people in vans from Lahore and made them hostages in a girls hostel in Faisalabad. The same thing police did on Monday night when they arrested the visually impaired and left them in private hotel in Gujranwala she added. She said last week Khadam-I-Alla staged another publicity stunt by launching Khidmat Card Programme of Punjab Government for rehabilitation of special persons. Under the program the special persons would get Rs.1200 per month after the every three months she added. She said these visually impaired people are more educated than the ruling elite and by giving them just 1200 rupees Khadam-I-Alla is insulting them. She demanded immediate job placements for the blind or PTI will fight for the right of blind if the government does not give them jobs, she added.
