PTI leader Ejaz Chaudhary said the royal styled governance of self proclaimed Khadam I Alla has left poor segment of the society nonplussed. Like a king Shabaz Sharif has ordered district government Lahore officials to build at least 12 helipads across the city in a bid to aid his so-called monitoring visits to newly-setup Ramazan Bazaars across Lahore he added. He said why not Sharif Brothers declare Pakistan a monarchical state, all the resources of the poor country are at their disposal. The shameless ruling elite is burning the resources without any accountability he added. He said with a cost of Rs14.4 million, the helipads will be built in the city so that Badshah Salamat can land whenever he wants. The poor public has no idea how much his heli rides will cost to them, and billions would be spend on Khadam I Alla security he added. He said Shabaz Sharif needs to stop being a stunt man every now and then coming with his so-called heroic actions just to show the public he is an effective administrator. People want availability of food items at a reasonable price and they are not interested in Shabaz Sharif???s surprise visits he added. He said Shabaz Sharif thinks he lives in Mogul era and the public is his slaves who will feel honored to pay him a surprise visit. Khadam I Alla needs to come out of his virtual world he added.
PTI leader Yasmin Rashid said Punjab government would give subsidy of Rs3. 5 billion on provision of flour in Ramazan Bazaars. This subsidy has been allocated from public funds then why Shabaz Sharif is taking credit of it she questioned? She said charity is a virtue if given from ones personal bank pocket whereas it is injustice when given from public funds of a poor nation for political gains. These Rs3.5 billion would be spend to appease Sharif Family and friends i.e. flour mill owners in the pseudo name of philanthropy she added. She said instead to control prices of daily use items ahead of Ramzan Sharif Brothers are staging cheap publicity stunts. It is a perennial problem of Sharif Brothers that they always promote their faces by extorting the money from the poor.
PTI Information Secretary Andleeb Abbas questioned what is the purpose of price control magistrates if Shabaz Sharif would be conducting these lavish monitoring visits. Why should the poor nation pay for the salaries and perks of the price control magistrates and Kahdam I Alla???s heli rides when every year he failed to control the prices in holy month of Raamzan she added? She said last year Shahbaz Sharif had announced Rs5 billion Razmzan Package but the prices in the Ramzan Bazars were skyrocketing. Same is going to happen with this year Rs3.5 million Razmzan Package she added. She said nothing will improve with these surprise photo session visits. Do something, which the masses will appreciate not just the paid advertisements she added.
Andleeb Abbas said these cheap publicity stunts are not going to buy votes for Sharif Brothers this time, the politically aware people of the country now know very well how Sharif Brothers have fooled them during last 30 years. Ramazan is not the only month and there are eleven more months in a year when hoarders and traders loot the poor public she added. She said Pakistan needs an effective agriculture marketing strategy for permanent solution to counter food inflation.
