Press Release - PTI Core Committee Meeting on 12th August 2023

An important meeting of the core committee of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf took place today in which following points were discussed:

• Expressed great disappointment and deep regret over the delay in the court decision regarding the transfer of Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Imran Khan from Attock to Adiala Jail and providing him with home food.
• Expressing deep concern over the unnecessary and unjustified delay in hearing the bail application of Chairman Imran Khan.
• Strong condemnation of Chairman Imran Khan's lack of seriousness about the threats to his health and safety, especially his life.
• The worst day-to-day trial of the country's judiciary resulted in a controversial decision that led to the imprisonment of the former Prime Minister.
• In the light of consecutive wrong decisions and controversial trials, the partiality and bias of the Chief Justice Islamabad High Court is becoming prominent.
• For the sake of justice and the reputation of the court, Justice Amir Farooq should immediately disassociate himself from the cases related to the former prime minister and give impartial judges a chance to judge.
• On the special instructions of Chairman Imran Khan, the Core Committee strongly condemned the new series of crackdowns against the Tehreek-e-Insaf workers engaged in preparations for the Independence Day celebration.
• The ban on the sale of Tehreek-e-Insaf flags and the worst retaliation against the workers are also strongly condemned.
• In the history of the country, there is no such example of preventing the most popular political party from celebrating the independence.
• Tehreek-e-Insaf Core Committee will not bow down to any chain of cruelty and oppression, nor will they give up celebrating freedom or achieving the goal of true freedom.
• Also examining the possibility of burning the national flag or any similar act of violence during the Independence Day celebrations, no patriot can imagine the desecration of the national flag.
• On the special instructions of Chairman Imran Khan, the workers should keep an eye on the miscreants while celebrating the Independence Day and keep their ranks clean from them.
• If you see a person burning or desecrating the national flag, arrest him under national duty and hand him over to the police.
• In the meeting, a detailed review of the spectacle created in the name of caretaker government in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
• In the guise of forming caretaker governments, the PDM parties appointed their own men, which was acknowledged by the three major parties of PDM.
• The sacking of the 26-member cabinet has also raised many questions.
• In this regard, numerous questions have arisen on the role of the Election Commission, which it will have to answer.
• For 206 days, the nation demands an answer from those who flout the constitution and the law to these watchers.
