An important meeting of the core committee of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf took place today in which following points were discussed:

• A detailed briefing was given to the core committee of the legal team on the progress so far in the cases against Chairman Tehreek-e-Insaf Imran Khan.
• Kudos to the legal team on behalf of the Core Committee for their hard work, dedication, and efficient pursuit of the cases.
• Serious concern over the continued deprivation of basic facilities and rights of the Chairman Tehreek-e-Insaf in jail.
• Chairman Tehreek-e-Insaf's appeal hearing on August 22 in Islamabad High Court.
• As a result of the hearing on August 22, expressed hope for the suspension of Imran Khan’s sentence and the restoration of his basic constitutional and legal rights.
• A strong reiteration of the demand for the immediate formation of high-level judicial commissions to determine the facts and make the nation aware of the secret message (cipher) sent by the Pakistani ambassador to the United States and the events of May 9.
• In the meeting of the core committee, the contents of a recent private TV interview of Baluchistan National Party chief Sardar Akhtar Mengal were also considered.
• Akhtar Mengal's speech and comments have given rise to serious doubts regarding missing persons in the country, Core Committee Tehreek-e-Insaf
