PTI Core Committee Meeting – Press Release

An important meeting of the core committee of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf took place today in which following points were discussed:

• Strong condemnation of keeping the Chairman Tehreek-e-Insaaf in solitary confinement in Attock Jail in clear violation of the law.
• According to the law, Chairman Imran Khan's continued non-availability of basic facilities in the jail is also considered cruelty.
• Today's hearing in the Supreme Court on the request of Chairman Tehreek-e-Insaf and the observations of the Supreme Court are welcome.
• The shameful propaganda campaign against fellow judges including the Chief Justice of Pakistan under the leadership of Maryam Nawaz, a criminal convicted by the court, is considered a shameful attempt to influence judicial decisions through bullying and hooliganism.
• Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf also strongly demanded that elections be held within the constitutional period of ninety days.
• The President's letter to the Chief Election Commissioner welcomed the invitation for consultation regarding the conduct of the elections.
• Urge the Chief Election Commissioner to abandon the way of transgressing the limits of the constitution and speed up the preparations for conducting the elections within the constitutional period of 90 days.
• In the meeting, a detailed review of the worst economic disaster and the rapidly spreading poverty was also made.
• Condemned in the strongest terms the government's inaction on the people's access to basic necessities including electricity, gas and food.
• The Core Committee also strongly condemned the abduction of Tehreek-e-Insaf South Punjab President Senator Aun Abbas Bappi and demanded his immediate release.
• In the meeting, it was agreed not to back down from the goal of achieving "real freedom and real democracy" in Pakistan.
• Despite all the sufferings and difficulties, there is complete agreement on advancing the movement of real freedom and real democracy under the lofty, courageous, and determined leadership of Chairman Imran Khan.
• Special tribute to the brave women workers for standing like a leaden wall in the face of the worst oppression and brutality of the state and not surrendering to imprisonment, revenge, ridicule, and cruelty.
• In order to break the high morale of Chairman Imran Khan, the dark history of persecution is being created in jail.
• With Allah's help and support, the morale of Chairman Tehreek-e-Insaf is very high, and he is not willing to retreat an inch from the goal of real freedom and real democracy.
• The dark night of cruelty and brutality is about to end soon, Pakistan will continue on its original path under the leadership of Imran Khan.
• Under the leadership of Imran Khan, they will carry forward their movement with complete unity and will mold the country into the Pakistan of Quaid and Iqbal.
