PTI Press Release -  Cipher Case Hearing in Adiala Jail

• The matter of hearing the farcical Cipher case against Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf in Adiala Jail.
• Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf rejects Ministry of Law's Notification of Jail Trial.
• The Ministry of Law's notification regarding trial in jail is a clear violation of fair trial which cannot be accepted at all.
• From the registration of the cipher case till today, efforts are being made to conduct the case in a particular manner.
• Article 10-A of the Constitution gives every citizen the right to a fair hearing.
• Fabricated case of cipher, the trial is being carried forward in a very hasty manner according to the pre-determined decision. The notification of trial in jail should be withdrawn immediately and the case against the chairman and vice-chairman of Tehreek-e-Insaf should be heard in an open court.
• The Chief Justice of Pakistan should take notice of the attempts to make the chairman and vice-chairman of Tehreek-e-Insaf a target of political revenge through the court while depriving the fundamental constitutional right of fair trial.
