PTI Press Release – Enforced Disappearances of Citizens

• Enforced disappearances of citizens is being used by the State as a weapon of political exploitation.
• Enforced disappearances of citizens are a serious crime against the constitution, law, values, democracy, and humanity in the country.
• The civilized world looks at the states that attack their rights and freedoms by taking extra-constitutional measures against their citizens.
• The constitution of the state is the guarantor of every citizen's self-respect, life, property, reputation, and provides him with full protection from extra-legal oppression and exploitation by the state.
• Under the infamous "London Plan" and the ongoing series of worst political engineering, the shameful series of forced disappearances against the leaders and workers of Tehreek-e-Insaf is continuing.
• Under the Constitution, the Judiciary is responsible for the protection of the basic constitutional rights of citizens and is bound to protect innocent citizens from state tyranny.
• The Chief Justice of Pakistan should immediately take notice of this shameful series of oppression and brutality against the workers, leaders and the families of Tehreek-e-Insaf.
• Forced disappearance of citizens by the state in the country should be stopped and all citizens forcibly disappeared should be recovered from state kidnappers,
