An important meeting of the core committee of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf took place today and a detailed discussion was held on the country's political situation, the G20 meeting in India and the holding of general elections in the country.

• PTI strongly condemns the firing by the police on the peaceful citizens of Malakand in the city of Batkhela.
• Arrests of peaceful protest participants who were protesting peacefully against inflation, unemployment, and lawlessness, are the worst form of state fascism.
• PTI core committee analysed the G20 meeting held in India and the summary of the announcements issued at the end of the meeting.
• Holding of G20 meeting in India, participation of developed and developing countries and declaration of the meeting is a cause of worry for Pakistan.
• In addition to political instability and economic devastation, Pakistan is increasingly becoming isolated on the global stage. In the last 17 months, we saw the most incompetent and ineffective foreign policy which has had dire consequences in the form of Pakistan's isolation on the diplomatic front.
• Only an elected government with a public mandate will be able to protect Pakistan's interests on the foreign front.
• In the meeting, government efforts to support Pakistan's economy, especially through direct investment were analysed.
• It is ridiculous to expect foreign investment for a country lacking justice, rule of law and political stability.
• Internal stability and rule of law are fundamental to encourage investment in any country.
• Instead of any improvement in the internal affairs, more deterioration is being done through the delaying the elections against the constitution.
• On the death anniversary of the Father of the Nation, Quaid-e-Azam, going back to his vision of the creation of Pakistan is the key to save the country from crises.
• Quaid-e-Azam's philosophy of politics is based on democratic values, unshakable rule of law and full compliance with the constitution.
• The elements imposed on the state and government is pushing the country away from the vision of the Quaid through their poor decision-making.
• In order to get out of this diplomatic isolation at the global level and for sustainable stability in the country, returning towards the constitution and democracy is inevitable.
• State decision makers must restore the people’s right to vote instead of unconstitutionally delaying the elections.
• It is also a cause of concern that the results of the GB Assembly Constituency 13 Astor 1 by-elections has been withheld. Core committee strongly condemns this.
• We demand the Gilgit-Baltistan Election Commission to respect people's decision instead of disrespecting people's vote.
• The process of obstructing the declaration of victory of Tehreek-e-Insaf candidate Khursheed Khan should stop. PTI emphasized on the need for declaration of the election result immediately.
